Simple ways to set a fair asking price for items, vehicles, rooms and services so your Lanka Ads+ listing sells or rents faster.
Look at similar ads first

Before setting a price, search Lanka Ads+ for the same item or a similar room or vehicle in your district. Note the range of prices and how each one compares with yours in condition, age and features.
Be honest about condition

Two items with the same name can be worth very different amounts. Scratches, missing accessories, repairs or an older model all lower the value. Pricing for the real condition avoids disappointing buyers when they arrive.
Leave a little room to negotiate

Many buyers in Sri Lanka expect to bargain. Setting your price slightly above the lowest amount you would accept gives space for that. If your price is fixed, say "price is final" in the description to avoid repeated calls.
Rooms and rentals

For rentals, state clearly what the monthly rent includes, such as electricity, water or parking, and how many months of advance you need. Unclear costs are a common reason people stop replying.
Services and jobs

For services, give a starting price or a price per hour or per job. For jobs, a salary range helps the right applicants contact you and saves time for everyone.
Adjust if there is no interest

If your ad gets views but few calls, the price may be too high or the description may be missing key details. Review similar ads again, improve the photos and wording, and consider a small price change.
